07.21.18 » SHOW RESULTS » 2019 FUTURITY AND DERBY WRAP WRAP-UP Despite not being able to compete down south this year because of various circumstances beyond our control our horses still had a great futurity/derby season. We are so thankful for the owners, sponsors, family and friends who help to get us down the road to compete in a sport that we love! Hey Sweet Freya owned by Tracy Brand of Indian Head Sask. is a fighter! After coming off illness that sidelined her most of the winter she came back into training and got stronger and stronger as the fall progressed. Time For A Peptomint (One Time Pepto) who is the new resident stallion at Justabouta Ranch also had a great fall. We are very excited for this guys future! Deluxe Strlit Night rode strong all year in the Open Derby. After her success at Calgary she finished her 4yr old derby season strong. 07.18.19 » SHOW RESULTS » 2019 CALGARY STAMPEDE OPEN HACKAMORE CHAMPION! After many years of competing at the Calgary Stampede Dale and Deluxe Strlit Night (Lena Inthe Starlight) claimed the championship! Owned by Mel Mabbott "Lucy" was at the top of her game! 10.21.17 » SHOW RESULTS » 2017 SHOW WRAP UP The horses from Justabouta Ranch had a great year in the show pen! We are continually humbled by the horses abilities and thankful for the clients who send us down the road. Our show season started off with a trip to Claresholm for the Cowtown Derby, this followed with Calgary Stampede, CCRCHA Futurity and Derby in Chilliwack BC, SRCHA Futurity and Derby in Saskatoon Sk, ARCHA Futurity and Derby in Claresholm AB, Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno NV, Canadian Supreme in Red Deer AB, IRCHA Futurity and Derby in Nampa ID.

12.31.16 » We were blessed with a great year, some awesome horses and wonderful people to work for. We are so thankful to find Dale at #41 on the Equi-stat Lifetime Reined Cow Horse Riders list and #50 on the NRCHA Top Riders Open eligibility list. 10.23.16 » SHOW RESULTS » Idaho Reined Cow Horse Association Open and Intermediate Open Futurity Finalist on Reygiddy Ann (3rd and 2nd place finish respectively) as well as Open Derby 5th place finish and Intermediate Open Derby 3rd place finish on Playflo Sweet Pistol. 10.03.16 » SHOW RESULTS » Team JR took to Reno Nevada for the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity and Hackamore Classic. Reygiddy Ann and Dale rode to a top 10 finish in the Intermediate Open Snaffle Bit finals, and Playflo Sweet Pistol took home 3rd place money in the Novice Horse for her efforts in the Hackamore Classic. 09.04.16 » SHOW RESULTS » Reygiddy Ann takes back to back championships in the Open Futurity at the Alberta Reined Cow Horse Associations aged event Sept. 2-4th, 2016.

08.01.15 » AT STUD » Thank you to all the mare owners who selected Lena Inthe Starlight for the 2015 breeding season. We had a busy couple months here at the ranch, but we are happy to say when it was all said and done all mares that were covered and ultra sounded were confirmed in foal! It will be an exciting spring when the babies begin to arrive. 11.28.14 » SHOW RESULTS » The 2014 Canadian Western Agribition was once again a success for Dale. In the ranch horse competition Ranaldo Pablo (by Lena Inthe Starlight) took first place earning the cheque for $5000, and then proceeded to top the selling block at $15,900. Dale was also asked back to compete in the trainers challenge again this year. So for the second year in a row Cain Quam and Dale competed head to head. The 2014 Canadian Supreme was a great show for Justabouta Ranch this year. We had 7 horses enter the show pen and 1 horse in the Westerner Sale. 09.07.14 » SHOW RESULTS » Sept 5-7 The Saskatchewan Reined Cow Horse Association held their annual Futurity, Derby and weekend show in Saskatoon. This is our hometown show of the year and we were tickled to take away the Open Futurity Championship on Viva Montana (Owned by Dave Freeland). This gelding is sired by Lena Inthe Starlight. We also claimed Open Reserve Futurity Champion on Northern Royal Cat (Owned by Wanda Cormack). A big shout out to all the sponsors and all the volunteers who made this show happen! 09.01.14 » SHOW RESULTS » August 30th-September 1st, the ARCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity was once again held in Claresholm Alberta. The crew there did a great job and again we had a wonderful weekend. Although no championships were earned from our barn, we were happy with how the horses worked and managed to get some Lifetime Earnings on the snaffle bit horses! 05.28.14 » SHOW RESULTS » What a great weekend and kick start to the show season. 12.13.13 » SHOW RESULTS » Our fall aged event shows are all done and in the books. We were blessed with another great season. Following our trip to Claresholm we headed to Saskatoon for the SRCHA Futurity and Derby where Team JR had a great weekend! Open Bridle Champion Lena Inthe Starlight, Open Derby Champion Betaz Ima Sweetie, Open Futurity Champion Chicks Money Talks, Open Futurity Reserve Champion Ranaldo Pablo, and Open Derby Reserve Champion Solanos Major Hick (with Jesse as pilot). With fuel in the engines from the success in Saskatoon we headed to Red Deer for the Canadian Supreme where the father-son duo claimed the championships. Lena Inthe Starlight was Open Bridle Champion and Ranaldo Pablo was open Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion. To finish the season we headed to Nampa Idaho for their annual IRCHA Futurity and Derby. In an exciting fence work finals that were added to the weeks aggregate Chicks Money Talks claimed the Open futurity Reserve Championship and the Intermediate Open Futurity Champion. Jesse also claimed a championship in the Level 1 limited Open Derby, and Reserve Championship in the Limited Open Derby abord Solanos Major Hick. A huge thank you to all our clients for putting such great horses through our program, our success is truly your success!
09.03.13 » SHOW RESULTS » After a long and trying summer Team JR was finally back out on the road and competing at the ARCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity and Derby held in Claresholm Alberta Aug 30-Sept 1. It was a very exciting weekend and when all was said and done Lena Inthe Starlight was the Open Bridle Champion (earning $1375.00), Chicks Money Talks (featured in WHR) was Reserve Open Snaffle Bit Champion (Earning $3985.20), Betaz Ima Sweetie 3rd in Open Derby (earning $1065.00) and Solanos Major Hick ridden by Jesse Rempel was 4th in the open derby, reserve in the limited open and reserve in the level 1 limited (total earnings $2310.00). Justabouta Ranch wants to thank all the sponsors that made the show possible as well as all those volunteers who put in the long hours to make the show the success that it was! 02.16.12 » SHOW RESULTS » The first ever Canada's Ultimate Cowhorse show was a huge success!! The show was held in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Equine Expo. We had sold out crowds for both days of the competition and 9 great horses competing for the Championship. When all was said and done, Jonh Swales of Millarville Alberta and Smart Marina were the champions and awarded the cheque for $6000.00 making this the highest paying cow horse show in Canada that we are aware of. Click here to read it! 11.14.12 » SHOW RESULTS » This past weekend team JR made our way to Edmonton to compete in the Canadian Snaffle Bit Futurity. Although the weather was bad, things in the arena went really well. In the futurity Dale ended up reserve champion on Betaz Ima Sweetie. In the derby it was a third place finish for Ima Deluxe Playgirl. But the most exciting event had to be the open bridle competition where Dale claimed the championship on Lena Inthe Starlight owned by Dave Freeland. He posted an impressive reined work score of 145 and 148.5 in the fence work. This was Dale's first open bridle championship of his career. To watch this run click here.

For the fist big show of the year Team JR did very well. Congrats to Brad and Diane Blackmore and their 4 yr old mare Ima Deluxe Playgirl for winning the open derby! Also to Rocky Ridge Ranch for a third place finish on Solanos Major Hick.
